Oh, that reminds me of Barbara Pym book Some Tame Gazelle, and a terrible incident serving cauliflower.
Sounds nasty. I haven’t read the book and my library doesn’t carry it (just checked). I suspect the incident is too gruesome to mention here…what with cauliflower season soon to be upon us…
I defer to your better judgement!
