Me too. I always want to believe it’s Spring, I mean, shouldn’t it be? All that hope and promise of warm weather ahead? But then Fall comes round and instead of whinging about Summer being over, I’m all excited about wearing sweaters and hauling in wood for the fireplace. Oh how Canadian, eh?
I hadn’t heard of ‘Mauve’ so of course immediately googled it. Turns out I’m very interested in dyes and the process of creating dyes, etc. I used to work as a volunteer gardener at a pioneer museum, tending the ‘dye garden’, incorporating all sorts of things the settlers and indiginous people used to colour fabrics, etc. Needless to say ‘Mauve’ is now on hold…! Thanks!
Beautiful! Fall is my favourite time!

Great colour of the day! Strangely enough I’ve just finished a book called Mauve. This puts me in mind of all the colour descriptions within it!
