You remember ‘those’ baskets? There were more?? Enlighten me. Where did ‘they’ come from? I remember only this one and it only EVER held curlers. It lived in the cupboard under the bathroom sink, and didn’t say a word for years. But then neither did women, about the (as Cheryl put it) torture chambers they subjected themselves to. My mum actually slept on curlers. But you’re so right, there was also something lovely about having someone fussing with your hair.
