summer postcards — greetings from this morning’s detour

IN BETWEEN this and that, an early morning walk to a tumble of rocks wonderfully designed by eons for sitting and staring and watching the tide roll out; the seals will be arriving in a few hours to grunt and growl and sing their bliss, by which time I’ll be home with my eggs and other errands done, a few conversations had en route, a few books left at the little free library next to the place I buy honey and organic wine, a little sand between my toes, a smile in my shoulders.
