The moon this morning.
So perfect and heavy and all bare naked and bright-eyed again at 7 a.m., like last night didn’t happen, like it wasn’t a bit of a tart, shades of red all over her, showing off behind the earth’s shadow until the wee hours…

I’ll never understand the constellations. I heard on the news that if I missed last night’s moon show, not to worry as it will reoccur next year in December, but not on the solstice. However – the last time it happened was the 1600s.
I think I’ll go back to pondering if I have all my Christmas gifts bought.
They’re tricky buggers. We don’t look up enough, that’s our problem! I’d love to know so much that I could navigate by the stars. As it is I can barely find the big dipper most nights…
Have a fabulous holiday, Mary! And all the best for the new year!
