Interesting. Looks almost like a sci-fi landscape, with the lens flares being extra suns/moons
Lens flares??? Please refer to comment below re hexagonal mood and plum scented air… (;
Also: I like that sci-fi take! Thank you.
Breathtakingly, bracingly cold and stark and vivid and yet strangely comforting Matilda. A beautiful “end of day” caught by the lens.
I love the beach when the weather’s stormy…
That is a beautiful capture quite eerie too ;-)
have a skytastic week ;-)
Close. But it’s not ‘Erie’… it’s the other ‘great’ one, Ontario. (;
[groan] Bad lake humour. Forgive me.
Wow. Only “Ms. Magtree” could get the moon to shape up in quite such not only spectacular but hexagonal way! What an eerie and mysterious shot. Food for contemplation and thought!
I’d like to claim such powers but, in fact, it’s the rare hexagonal moon. Only appears over Lake Ontario’s northern shore on Thursdays between 3 and 4 p.m. when there’s a wind from the east scented with wild plum. You think I’m making that up, don’t you?
No no of course I don’t think you are making that up. You? Never!!!
… because there are those who would doubt the existence of plum scented breezes. I should have known you wouldn’t be among that witless bunch. (;
Can’t you just imagine the book this striking image would cover? I don’t know how you did it, Carin, but it is a strange and captivating image.
I don’t know how I did it either. My favourite kind of shot!
amazing shot! :)
Happy Wordless Wednesday! My entry is here.
Thank you. The best of the season to you!
