In the pink! How lovely Carin, gorgeous in fact. In your garden?
They’re at the beach. I used to grow them but they more or less out-grew their space and I kept getting thorned and, subsequently, cranky. We have a much better relationship when we live apart.
This just makes me want to get out my embroidery threads and try to capture all those gorgeous shades of pink and green, not to mention the velvety textures.
What a lovely idea!
Absolutely gorgeous … each petal so delicate! No roses in my gardens … yet … tsk, tsk. I’d love to plant the wild roses I admired so much on many trips through Nova Scotia. I think it’s also called the ‘Rose of Sharon’. Yes? No? Anyone …?
Don’t know the Nova Scotia ones. These are old fashioneds that live at the beach. Scads of bushes smelling so sweetly. (‘Rose of Sharon’ always makes me think of The Grapes of Wrath. I keep seeing trucks heading west…dusty roads, campfires and meals made of flour and water. May now have to read again!)
